Small Jack silkscreen fits 1 inch pumpkin cutter
Large Jack silkscreen fits 1.5 inch pumpkin cutter
Each silkscreen is made to order.
Size: 3.75" x 5.75"
Instructions to use the silkscreen:
1. Place the silkscreen (with words correctly facing in the right direction) onto a flat layer of polymer clay.
2. Use the squeegee we sell or a hard and flat card (like an old credit card) to squeegee the silkscreen. You want to make sure there is no air bubble between silkscreen and polymer clay.
3. Add acrylic paint to the top of the silkscreen edge
4. Pull at a 45 degree angle to drag the paint across the screen smoothly
5. Peel off the silkscreen gently from one corner and wash it immediately using cold water. The paint will dry on the stencil if you do not rinse immediately.
***only use your fingers to rub the paint off, too much pressure will tear/ruin the silkscreen***
6. Wait for the paint on clay to dry (It only usually takes a few minutes)
7. Use our polymer clay cutters to cut any design shape you want on the clay.
Tips:
Acrylic paints are easy to wash out of the stencil and the screen stays in perfect condition for a long time.
Do not use oil-based paints for your silkscreen stencil.
Our silkscreens are made to be durable, but they are made to last between 10-15 uses. Proper care will them last longer.
7. Use our polymer clay cutters to cut any design shape you want on the clay.
Tips:
Acrylic paints are easy to wash out of the stencil and the screen stays in perfect condition for a long time.
Do not use oil-based paints for your silkscreen stencil.
Our silkscreens are made to be durable, but they are made to last between 10-15 uses. Proper care will them last longer.
Cutter size is measured by the longest distance of the actual inside cutting edge, not the outside handle.
NOTE
All of our cutters are 3D printed with PLA filament and may have some moderate irregularities that are to be expected with any 3D printed polymer clay cutter, but this will not affect the quality of your cutter or your cuts.
USAGE
Use a generous amount of corn starch or water to prevent your clay from sticking to all your cutters with fine details.
You always want to use a ceramic tile or a piece of glass under your clay, making sure to press the clay onto the tile or glass before using your cutter to avoid having the clay stick to your cutter.
CARE
Our cutters are slightly flexible to a point but should not be bent beyond their limits or sustain too much pressure. They should be washed with warm soapy water as needed, but they are NOT dishwasher safe. PLA will melt at high temperatures.
